Is the W50 input shaft compatible with the W52/55/etc?

In an attempt to remove the input bearing via puller, I inadvertently broke the front tip of the input shaft. So, I need to replace it, but I don't see anything online about specifically W50 replacement input shafts -- or maybe someone here on the forums can sell me one in short order. What are my options here? Thanks!

I've found this:

http://cobratransmission.com/toyota-...aft-50048056-1

and it looks similar to my input shaft. So does anyone have any idea if this input shaft is the same thing as a W50 input shaft?

Why don't you call Cobra Transmission and ask about the correct input shaft for your tranny. All input shafts look similar from a distance.

I can do that. I can also go to a forum which is specific to my make and model of pickup that exists for such questions; taking advantage of the resource of combined knowledge that hundreds if not thousands of its users possess. Like this particular forum right here. Surely I am not the first person here who has encountered this particular problem and raised this particular question.

What I don't need is one single person showing up in my thread attempting to brush off my question in the most unhelpful manner possible. Thank you.

The number of transmission types and variations used in these trucks from the 1970s' to the 1990s' is staggering.
I think that the likelyhood of anyone here being able to answer your question as to the compatibility of input shafts between the tranny types is small. We shall see.

The toyota parts lists will answer for sure. I'm not gonna look it up for ya.

don't know if you ever got that input shaft figured out but a W55 tranny has the same size and amount of splines on the input end of the shaft, I would assume that length of the shaft is exactly the same as the W50 and the W55 are the same length from block to drive shaft. The key differences that I've noticed between the 2 trannys is the W50 has an iron casing with aluminum on the ends and the W55 is all aluminum, 5th gear is taller in the 55 and the bellhousing bolt pattern is different.

other than those differences I believe they're identical
