This motor... the 1981 22r for CA emissions has more vacuum lines than any other toyota, it looks like a bunch a friggin spaghetti, but i really need that specific diagram, Its gonna have two 4-line vacuum hoses, 6 vsv's, and a few vcvs too, plus lots of other lines, any links for a pdf or pics of FSM would be kickasse. thanks fellas

1979-1985 FSM link: http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1985/1985FSM_OCR.pdf could have been found by doing a goggle search for toyota FSM

That FSM doesn't cover pre-85 trucks, but might still work for an 81. There were so many different configurations even within the same year though, that it would be best to get an actual 81 FSM diagram.

Everybody always posts that link, but trust me, there was no 79-85 FSM. They are year specific, and to date, no one has gone through the trouble to scan a pre-85 FSM, so there is no online version available. You can do a lot of things to our trucks with that link, but it's definitely not a 79-85 FSM. It's an 85.

there is a vac diagram for cal towards the bottom. i believe its for an 85, might help some. good luck.

That's a great site. I hate the vacuum systems on these trucks. My truck (83) doesn't match a single vacuum diagram in my 83 FSM, and it certainly doesn't match the one on that site. I've looked under the hood of maybe just 3-4 other 83 Toys, and none of them are the same as mine, and few of them are the same as each other.

So telling people to search is typically the right thing to do, but really, in this situation, I think that the more exact (year specific) diagram he can find, the better. I know there are some 81 FSM's in the hands of people on this site...not hard to scan & post. But I could be wrong, and the one out of the 81 FSM may be the same as the one's on the links posted...

well i just purchased an FSM for an 82 on ebay when it gets here i will see what i can do to help from there also i believe there was a FSM for an 81 on ebay as well?????

i wouldnt hav posted if i coulda found an fsm for an 81 with CA emissions. but i do know about bluebass, ncttora85fsm, and i did find ocddrops photobucket, thats what i was plannin on using if all else failed. Oh yeah and adamsbro im gonna bid on that but go ahead and send that fsm just in case
