hi steer crossover steering

does anyone know which parts ill need to do a crossover steering on my 82 toyota? Ive been told that ill need a 4WD steering box from an IFS truck. Can I also use the tie rods or do I need special ones made? I currently have manual steering and it blows!

you need a crossover kit, don't screw around with welding stock arms and wimpy IFS tie rods. marlin sells a forged kit for a great price.

You'll need a steering gear box from an IFS truck. If you want to convert to PS you'll need everything for that too (pump and mtg brkts, resevoir, hoses, belt, maybe a new pulley).

Also a hi-steer kit (All Pro, Marlin, Sky, etc.).

All of the stock push-pull steering gets tossed.
