Did anybody see the first gen on Xtreme 4x4 today? All the Jeep were making fun of it, calling it ugly and stuff. But the owner said "Jeeps are cute, Barbie drives one." His 'ugly', 20R powered beast got more air time than all of those Heeps. haha

Haha. I've seen it twice, and noticed them in every shot. Even my friend that I was watching it with asked if I had noticed them. He's not even a Yota guy, he just knows I am. But I give him props for the AWD Beamer.

Do you have any build photos of that bed or maybe some pics from above?
I would like to see how you did it and with what parts.
Looks like a clean factory job!

Nice rig; hard to believe he built that for $3K. The buildup I'm looking at my soon-to-arrive virgin '80 longbed is probably 3x that much.

He's on another forum, and posts under the handle 'notajeep'.

My 83

I bought the 83 last year to drive while I did some work on my 91. I did all kinds of freshening up of the 83 but failed to replace the soft radiator hoses and resulted in a blown head-gasket and a popped radiator. A friend of mine suggested that the hose colapsed and the cooling system cavitated which blew the gasket. Anyway I fell in love with this old truck I call it my roller-skate. I just got a job firefighting again so funds for a frame off restoration have become available and is in it's beginning stages. I think the biggest hurdle will be correcting a few rust holes in the bed floor.

You can email me the pic from Reader Rigs if you want, still trying to locate that issue!

Not sure everyone else want's to see the build photos from my top so I can send those to you directly. It is a kit which includes the caps and clamps, you just do the cutting. I bought it used off another guy who was cutting up his truck.
