help!!79 4wd w/9mm drive shaft flange holes!!

i have a weird request but if anyone here can help i would greatly appreciate it. I have a 1979 toyota pickup 4x4 that has the rare but crappy 9mm drive shaft flange holes... the problem is that woever worked on the truck before i bought it lost 4 of the bolts and now i cant find them in any dealer. if anyone has them and is willing to ship them im willing to buy them... thanks all

I have re drilled the flanges to fit new bolts before .. very easy to do .. just make sure you use a very hi grade bolt .. grade 11 is factory .

Marlin Crawler (and probably other places too) sells a flange that ought to bolt to your truck with a bunch of holes for all different bolt patterns. I wonder though if your drive shaft would need the holes opened up a bit too.. http://www.marlincrawler.com/differe...rential-flange

I just put in a later model rear diff and the bolt pattern was different, so I just drilled new holes. Was a real pain...since I didn't take the flange off the differential and don't really have a way to clamp it to a bench, and I went through 3 batteries in my drill...but it worked.

Yes, either drill out the holes or I recall a buddy of mine used to use 3/8".Grade 8 bolts on his '83 when he lost a few bolts.

I would just go down to your local fastener store and buy new bolts, just make sure they are hgh grade factory is 11 like said above

Probably have a hard time finding 9mm metric bolts, that is a very uncommon size.

drill them to 10mm and order some from any dealer or marlin has them, about $40, altho u can use regular bolts
the factory bolts are sholder bolts that go through the yoke and flange there by centering them together. a better way to go if ur looking for a long term fix.
