First gen bumper question
I am looking into a front winch bumper from addicted off road, and was told by scotty that some guys have modded the bumpers to fit the first gen trucks. I was just curious what all was involved to "mod" the bumper, and was curious what other aftermarket off road bumpers guys are running. I have a warn on my 93 and love it, but am not going to spend the money on the 79.

The winch mount kit that scottyC uses for his older style bumpers is based on the trail-gear mount which will bolt to the 84-95 trucks but requires it to be welded to the front of 79-83's
it is what I based my bumper on...weld it right to the front crossmember:

So will the 84-95 bumpers from addicted weld on to the 79-83 style pickup crossmember or is there more modifications?
