charging problems!!!

i thought the alternator was going out. i got it checked and it was good. the truck isnt charging the battery and wont start. so ihave to jump it. but it only lasts a few minutes and the truck dies. i got a new voltage regulator and battery, it ran for a few days with no charging problems then the charge light came back on and the same problems again???????? i dont know what the issue is with it.

Obviously something is either draining it or the alternator is indeed bad. I say the alt is bad, did you get a whole dashboard of idiot lights at all in this time, thats your alt dyin.

Check the fuses too.

I replaced an alt in my Jeep and it turned out to be a fuse.

check your fues links .. directly off the + post on the battery .. there are 2 = a double wire , and a single wire , both with green ends . give em' a tug .. if they break , the wire is burnt .

also check your ground cables .

does sound like the brushes are sticking in the alt though .. been out in the mud since it started ?
