I know that I see them around, I do not believe that the bolt holes line up. That is an easy fix though. It will look a little funny because of the square fenders

Sure it is possible, here is a 2nd Gen Truck with a 3rd Gen 2WD bed on it:
Might kind of look wierd though....Throw the bed on, if you don't like it, take the bed to the scrap yard or sell it...
tried to find a 1st Gen with a 2nd gen bed, but found this on ebay: 1982 Truck w/ 3rd Gen Bed
seems like the dimensions are pretty close until you get to a Tacoma. Lines up pretty decent...I think a 3rd gen bed would look better than the squarish 2nd gen bed...but free is a dang good price...

ya i'm gonna go get this afternoon, and set it on there to see how see looks. what i really want to do is build a flatbed for it. but it would cost over $600 for the steel, and then there would be a lot of wieght to lug around.
i bought the truck for a hunting truck to run dogs out of, so i might end up cutting that bed down, and put side entrance dog boxes in it. just have to see what kind of redneck enginering i can come up with.
thanks for the pics.
