I'm going to lengthen it .. but i'm only going 33's .. maybe 35's .. so it'll be fine .

why is it that toyota put that there? what purpose does that bar serve on an axle that gets used less than half of the time?

Helps to stabilize the axle. Both of the SA toyota I have owned wandered a little bit. Drove a friend's totally stock '85, the track bar seemed to actually help quite a bit..

If this truck is your inspiration like you said on the trekker forum...looks like some Swamper 35x15.50's on are on order

drivability on road .. and spring wrap in 4WD .

this unit is basically a " stock type " mall princess ... i'm building it for my son's 16th B-day .. but he'll probabally get my old truck

Good write up...I will be using it soon....Are you going to upgrade the rear brakes to the bigger '86+ drums? I forget, you probably mentioned it....

thanks ... wish I could have taken more pics .

no , i'm going to stay with the original rears I think ? .. or I was thinking maybe rear disc brakes .... havent decided .

I was talking to a buddy that just did the fronts , and he has had no issues , no problems , and it stops much better the stock .. so I might just stay with those .
