TOYOTA MONSTER TRUCK project! I started this project in 2004 but I havenít touched it in 2 years now and Iím starting to need the space in the shop. Really wanted to finish it but itís just not in the cards right now. 1981 Toyota Pickup short-bed body, complete tube chassis with Rockwell 2.5 ton military axles, 4-wheel steering, 4-link setup, coil-over suspension w/nitrogen filled shocks, 48x25-20 Goodyear Super Terra Grip LW tires on custom 20x21 steel wheels. Fuel cell and radiator are mounted in the bed. We had a ProCharger equipped SB Ford engine in it but sold that engine - hence the reason the front of the radiator support is missing as we had the intercooler mounted there. The plan was to replace it with a twin turbo BB Chevy. The truck comes with the custom step headers and flowmaster exhaust system - all Jet-Hot coated - built for the SB Ford. Chassis comes with a fresh GM TH-400 transmission and 205 transfer case in place - just put your engine in front of it. Doors and driveshafts are included, brake and hydraulic steering lines are run, a Paxton EFI fuel pump is mounted and fuel lines and returns are run to the engine compartment. With the Terra tires on it, it measures 105.5 inches in width - just over a legal lane of traffic wide. Includes the military wheels/tires on it (they are used to load chassis on trailers) and a set of 15x10 reversable steel wheels without tires. Everything is custom built! $26,500 as is, $23,500 less Terra tire package. Trades considered. Serious inquiries only, please.

I will NOT part this truck out - please don't ask.

Truck has a clear Arkansas title and is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas - zip code 72701. E-mail to ďoutlaw105@cox.netĒ for more pictures or call Mel at 479-263-4360 most anytime.

Yikes, the price of that thing has to be the stupidest thing i have ever seen. 23k with junk tires, no engine, and a stripped out cab set on some custom framework? Who the hell would pay 23k for that?!

I agree. Did you read the original thread. Haha. My favorite part:

"what kind of MPG does it get? can i run 33's without rubbing?"

Never underestimate the power of spite.

no no no

You have to get some cheap rockwells that you found at the swap meet under there and claim they are worth 10 grand in addition to all that. Make sure you put some junk hacked up body on there too. Maybe a corolla or a Celica body or somethin.

I think it would make a great truck, and an interesting project. But not for $23k

A person can buy a nice running driving truck, and put all that stuff on there for less than that. And have a runner/driver!

I'll give the guy credit for trying, but there are quite a few things that i dont like about it.

I dont like pure mud based trucks.. Always too big for daily driving and too top heavy for safe driving period.

I do like the rockwells. Heh.. who wouldnt?

I dont like his fab work, I'm not impressed with his welds.

I dont liek how low the motor sits. That mud is going to beat the hell out of the bottom of that engine and crankshaft pulley.. and I'm willing to bet with how low the motor sits, he's going to throw alot of belts when wheeling in really thick mud.

The price is the worst part. 23K ???

Old yota: 1500.00
four 44"s: 2000.00
350 eng: 2000.00 (Rebuilt)
Rckwells: 3000.00 (self pulled)
wabfab welding: Priceless

Thos prieces will vary, i know. just saying.. look at what he has got and what he has spent. I dont see ANYTHING new on it except the fab work. Perhaps the egine internals and block.. still not 23K
