not to hijack but did you do a writeup on chopping the back off? im throwing the idea around and id like to get a heads up before i get the grinder out.

just cut and fill?

im certified for MIG and TIG so the welding part will be easy. were there any problems you ran into?

I wish I could tell you, but this was done by the prior owner that I bought it from. All I can tell you is that it was done professionally and looks great, and supply some pics.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean about "attention". My truck has a one-of-a-kind yellow paint job. When I first bought it 6-7 years ago, heads turned everywhere I went....still do. People to this day stop me in parking lots, at the grocery store and even at redlights and give me their business cards in case I ever want to sell it.

Wouldn't it make sense to throw it in for not-single guys too? In that case, the baseball bat would be for the significant other.

thanks pal! those pictures sure do help.

did you re-enforce the sides of the bed? or is that for d-rings for straps and bungees and such?

living down in san jose means it has to be somewhat water proof. how did you go about that?

it also looks like you have some kind of top on it.
how bout some shots of that?

i was just gonna take the back window out and put a shell on it.. but this sounds much better .

thanks for all the answers.

The corners in front do have a metal bracing strip, and your right. They are used for bungees, straps and such.
There is a rubber molding between the cab and topper that keeps it water tight.
The topper was bobbed just like the bed to fit. Topper comes off just like any would.
Again, this is a regular topper that has been fitted on to fit the bed. It goes on and off like a topper should.
