I have an '89 Toyota pickup with @ 165,000 miles on the clock. Got rear-ended about a month ago and the insurance company totaled it. I'm debating on a buy-back but I don't know if it's worth it. --POSTED HERE W/PICS--
The truck is equipped with a 22RE w/manual trans and 4WD. Has a Leonard cap as well. Not more than 3,000 miles ago, I performed the major service on it. I'm a Toyota tech and T-Ten graduate so rest assured, the work is complete and accurate. I replaced the chain, guides, tensioner, water pump, thermostat, headgasket and radiator. The headgasket wasn't leaking but I was there so I put one on.
I'm open to offers but it will be for pick up only. The truck is in full driving condition and can be inspected upon arrival.
The bottom line....we were looking for a good truck to use for errands and I knew by experience the 22R was the engine I wanted. It took 6 months but we finally found this one. It ran great and the a/c blows colder than any other vehicle we have. The woman in the Lexus who hit me got her suv repaired but now I've got to find another good truck. We bought the truck in 2004 with 152,000 on the odo. The previous owner ran Mobil 1 synthetic and I continued the practice.
Any questions or comments, please feel free to ask.
Regards,
Jeremy
