FS/FT 78' Jeep CJ7, "PRICE DROP"-Ohio

Thought I would see what offers trades I could get, here's the details:

1978 Jeep CJ7, runs and drives great
148,000 orig miles, approx 31,000 on rebuilt motor
Original AMC 304 V8 with a mild cam
MotorCraft 2100 2bbl carb, works at any angle
New engine parts include, new ECU, battery cables, starter soleniod, coil, dist, cap, rotor, plugs, and plug wires
AMC Pattern TH400 auto trans
Quadra-Trac (BW1305) transfer case
AMC 20 rear/Dana 30 Front (stock 3.31's great for a DD)
Recent 4" Pro-Comp all spring lift w/ shocks
New poly body bushings
Comes with a set of stock YJ 4 and 5 pack leafs if you want to go SOA
Flowmaster 40 series exhaust
New brake calipers on front
Good seat/rear bench
Very solid body/tub (inside of tub was sprayed with bedliner but has front carpet kit)
33x12.50R15 M/T's on 15x8 Amer Racing Alum Rims (tires 90-95%)
New windshield wiper motor
Good paint
New custom fabricated rear bumper w/ 2" receiver hitch
Good Bestop soft top with 2 piece soft doors (tops can be taken off to make half doors, see in pics)
More I can't remember...

Tons of time put into this Jeep, just has a small crack in windshield (does not ubstruct view) and needs a radio and speakers (haven't got around to putting one in). Would make a great daily driver or full on rock crawler. Just drove the Jeep 400 miles back/forth to Indiana on a weekend trip so it is very reliable.

FIRST $3500 CASH or really wanting to trade for 85' or earlier Toy Xtra Cab or 4runner with some lift, but would consider trades on other Toyotas with lift. Mainly looking for solid front axle rigs. Please NO PROJECTS, trade must be running and able to make it to my house and be driven on weekends

I am located in Spencerville, OH (hour and a half South of Toledo, OH, hour and a half West of Columbus, OH, hour and a half North of Dayton, and about 45 min West of Fort Wayne, IN)

Any questions email me at cibholder03@yahoo.com (goes directly to my phone) or reply on here

Looks nice...I have an '86...is your tow bar bolted right into your bumper...I just put one on mine and it said it should be reinforced...but I have seen a lot of them directly bolted into the bumper...

Got pixs of the 86', toy or CJ? might be interested if it's a Toy. As for the tow bar, they do recommend that you reinforce it, but I spent some coin on mine and it came with 3/8" backing plates and my mounts are mounted in line with the frame rails using 1/2" Grade 8 bolts with lock washers and nyloc nuts, not to mention the bumper is 1/4" mounted to the frame with grade 8's and lock washers/nylocs. Owned a few with tow bars this way and never had any problems, just make sure the chains are on and your mount to the ball is secured with a hardened bolt and not just a pin. Post some pics/specs on the 86' on here or email me at the above email. Thanks for the interest

Here is the '86...but it is not up for sale or trade...It is all original except for the BFG's and the Mopar MPI Kit. Thanks for the info on the towbar...I am getting ready to tow it to Colorado with my Sequoia. I was surprised the Towbar only came with grade 5 bolts. My bar is mounted to the bumper right in line with the frame rails, but to the stock bumper...I may change to grade 8 bolts.

Yeah thought you were saying you had an 86' Toyota, very clean looking Jeep. No problem, I've flat towed mine a few places, but mostly drive it. I really enjoy the Jeep during the summer, but want a Toyota. I have owned about every so called "hardcore" 4x4 out there including an 86' Jeep CJ7 like yours on 1-ton axles. On that one though, it was SBC powered, was SOA on YJ fronts and XJ rears to extend the wheel base and it rode on 38's. Have actually owned 5 Jeeps, 3 CJ7's, 1 CJ5, and a XJ, not to mention 2 built Samurai's, a 74' Ford Bronco, 79' FJ40, 91' GMC Suburban, etc. etc. etc. I came full circle and now want a dual purpose mild trail rig/daily driver and have settled on wanting an xtra cab or 4runner.

Here's few pics of my past builds:

That's just a few, now wanting to get into Toyota's, what can I say, off-roading is an obsession. I grew up in Indiana about 30 minutes from the Badlands and have been hooked every since.

Would also consider trades for 86' and newer IFS and std cab trucks, as long if they have a little lift and some decent tires. Let me know what you have

I'll check them out, thanks for the interest.

BUYERS/TRADERS: Be aware that I currently do not have a tow rig or trailer and my current work schedule doesn't allow me much time off, so if you are interested in buying/trading for this Jeep you will probably have to come to me with your swap. I live in Spencerville, OH (Northwest Ohio).

Got dozens of emails asking if the Jeep has a top, it's in the description above:

"Good Bestop soft top with 2 piece soft doors (tops can be taken off to make half doors, see in pics)"

But, so were clear, here's a few pics taken today
