Built '90 Toyota 4Runner For Sale:V6,Lifted,Lockers,5.29s,35's, Body & Glass Damage

FOR SALE: Built 1990 Toyota 4runner SR5 $5500

THE STORY: This 90 4runner has been my daily driver for the past year and 2
months. I purchased it from JT's 4WD Shop in Washington State in January 0f 2007. The owner of that shop, a differential guru and veteran of the industry, had built the runner up himself and I was really glad to get this sweet rig. I have driven this everyday since then and it drives great and literally goes anywhere! I live at 3500 feet in snow & mud country ( as of today we still have 4 - 5 feet solid of snow on our 800 ft long driveway) and this vehicle has never left me stranded. I have been amazed at the way this thing can climb though the deepest of snows (I personally have driven it over & thru 6 - 8 foot deep snow pack), creep through sticky gooey mud holes and blast up sand dunes to places most quad/atv's wouldn't go.

My wife, daughter and I recently took it on a 8,000 mile road trip down thru mainland Mexico and back up the Baja peninsula. We were loaded with surfboards, camping gear and friends along the way. On the way home we turned 300k on the odometer. The 4runner turned heads wherever we went.
I have also driven it through and over some of the gnarliest passes in British Columbia on dirt and snow roads and trails. To say the least I have really enjoyed the vehicle and hate to be writing this ad. About a month ago I was headed home from a day of skiing, it was night and I hit a patch of iced ruts and brake bumps, overcorrected, hit the bank, drove up onto it and put the 4runner onto its passenger side. I drove it back to town the next day. It drives fine and exactly the same as pre-wreck except for the windows and exterior body damage. The resulting damage was broken windshield, rear window, damaged passenger doors and quarter panels, broken mirror and bent door post. I talked to a local and respected bodyman here and he said he could get it straight and deliver it back to me with dorrs and windows installed and finished with primer for $2k or less. I would have to procure and provide the doors, glass and quarter panels which I found available locally for less than $300. I hate to sell this 4runner but I think that there may be someone who is either a bodyman himself and can get this thing back on the road with ease and little investment or there is someone who wants a professionally built trail rig to bash around and this would fit the bill as is. Or it could be chopped up and a welder/fabricator could have a heyday with a custom tubing cage / roll bar setup and 1/2 doors, fiberglass fenders, etc, etc... Either way this 4runner is built and ready for daily driving, weekend warrior'ng or total trail domination.

NADA VALUE 1990 Toy 4runner SR5 $3,100.00

If you consider that this 4runner has had $10K in mods, NADA is $3K then this runner would cost around $13K (or more considering inflation) to create today. Take 14 months depreciation and wear off and I figure it worth about $8k then subtract the body and glass repair and your at $5500.

Will consider trade for a 2002 or newer Tacoma with or without engine and tranny or a Diesel Mitsubishi Delica or a partial trade plus cash for a quad cab Toyota diesel truck.

I can deliver for gas and transportation costs or vehicle can be picked up in Sandpoint, Idaho. Please let me know if you have any questions.
