this seems like a pretty good deal, what work have you done to it?
I seem to remember reading about a timing belt, water pump, fuel filter and some other stuff a while back.

1.new tires & balance, new Cv shafts, new front inner & outer wheel bearings with cones, new shocks all 4,front rotors & pads and caliper on drivers side, new center link, inner outer tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, rear brake shoes and 1 drum, new u-joints on rear drive shaft (replaced twice for good measure) and they are in phase, rear 3rd member(thought my original was bad but not the case)so I just replaced for nothing,TPS ,New VAFM, plug wires.new plugs.dis cap & rotor, new valve cover gaskets, plenum gasket, motor mounts, transmission mount, new air filter, fuel filter, changed all fluids in tranny, rear 3rd and front chunk, timing belt, water pump, idler pulleys #1 & 2 with hydraulic tensioner, inner and outer tie rod ends, idler arm,new steering stabilizer shock...I may have forgot something, if so I will post it later......oh new air intake hose, new coolant temp sensor, used bvsv for the charcoal filter
This 4runner has a misfire at idle not bad, but noticeable....it has a vibration throughout when driving and at idle, every thing works including the ac,it always starts without a hitch, I drive it 250 miles a week to and from work.....

hmmm does it ever blow black smoke when you first start it?
the reason i ask is our 95 use to have an extremely rough idle and would vibrate alot... however we got a damper in the manifold (the little half metal half plastic damper) fixed and it works perfectly |

I would think with all that work done to it you could get alot more off of craigslist. There is some guy who just posted on here from Georgia asking if 3K was a good deal for a 2nd Gen 4Runner with 245K miles.

4runner does not smoke at all...thanks for the replys...I have this 4runner on craigslist, ebay localy, yotatech and in my front yard on the weekend....I have been honest with my add and listed the problems, but I think no one wants this 4runner because of the problems. I think most folks are looking for something that needs no work, however I have seen junk on here for sale for more than I'm asking for this 4runner
I thought this 4runner would be sold by now at the price I have listed. I have had few folks stop and look at it however no offers as of yet............

Well maybe someone will appreciate it as is and purchase it....keep in mind that I still drive it 250 miles a week to and from work so that should say something about it not being junk

The 95 3.0 4Runner I had a real terrible driveline vibration I could never figure out either.
I eventually sold it for 2k, the guy didn't seem too concerned about the vibration when he test drove it though. other than that it was a good truck

I wouldn't really dwell on the vibration, just let people drive it and let them deduce their own opinion about the truck. I would play up the positive things like all the work you have done to it. I wouldn't take any less than 2k for it either

It's good to be honest but I just think that it's still a really good truck even if the engine has a slight miss. I was just saying that he should focus on the positive aspects of the truck. It's still worth 2K in my eyes given all the work he has put into it.

update....
sorry, but I'm going to keep the 4runner for now because I had to repair the #1 Water bypass tube under the intake manifold, it busted out on me in two elbows last week while I was on my way to work(I have a thread on that).I also had to replace the radiator today.....sooooooo.....I can't let it go for $2200 now....to much time invested and more money thrown in it, dam parts aren't cheap ![]() ![]() '

If I part it out then I have the pain of pricing, removing parts and shipping them out If I sell the whole thing on ebay I wonder how much I will get out of it(this may be the best way for me).....but haven't decided yet

at this point you may want to look into fixing it if you want to recoup anywhere near the amount of time and money you've put into it. With a blown head gasket you'd be lucky to get $1000 out of it I think. Most likely you'll get less as I hear about people getting these with blown head gaskets all the time for around $500.
