89 Toyota Truck 4x4 located in San Jose, CA

1989 Toyota Truck 4x4 $13,000 located in San Jose, CA

I've worked hard on this project. All work has been done professionally my work was research and making sure what was done was what I wanted. Everything was a progression to a complete wheeler. As you can see by the list of parts I tried to make sure it was ready for the next item or upgrade. I didn't do something that would need to be redone in order to get the new part to work. If I didn't have the cash for a certain upgrade I figured out where I could stop and save for that upgrade. I also have extra parts for a couple projects I just didn't finish. Nothing that prevents the truck from working. Just more creature comfort type things.

I tracked down major parts for on-board air. 4gal air tank and a second ARB air compressor.

For the tube doors I saw a set of mirrors I liked so I picked them up as well. I never got around to doing them due to how cold it was in Montana. This project started while living in CA. Then most of the work was completed while I lived 6 years in Montana. And now that I'm back in San Jose I want to get back into street bikes. So here the project sits. I would say 95% complete the last couple projects are mentioned at the bottom.

List of parts and upgrades

Suspension and running gear
Solid Axle Swap (SAS)
37" MTR's and spare which has not been used
5.29 gears by Yukon front and rear
ARB's front and rear
Profield Burfield's from All Pro in front axle
Spare Burfield in Tuffy Box
Extended Diff Breather's front and rear
Vented front Disc brakes
I have Disc brakes for the rear but not installed
Rancho 9000's all four corners
Heavy Duty ARB lines front and rear
All Pro Hi-Steer
Rancho Steering Stabilizer
All Pro Differential Armor front and rear
5.5" All Pro Springs front and rear
Rear Revolver shackles
2" Body Lift
Custom front bumper which is welded on
Custom rear bumper which is bolted on (I made sure there was room for a rear winch also)
Custom rock sliders which are welded on
Warn 9.5 ti winch in front
Amsteel Blue Rope
Snatch Block
3"x30' strap
3"x6' tree saver
Extra shackles
Hella headlight which replace the factory headlights so you change the bulbs not the lense
Front IPF Spot lights
Rock lights (for wheeling at night)
Reverse lights which are on top of the stock reverse lights for night wheeling
3 of the 4 factory manuals (didn't realize I was missing one until i was putting this list together)
Hayes manual
Tow bar so truck can be flat towed if needed

In cab creature comforts
Best Top Heated Seats
Nice Grant Steering Wheel ($145.00 leather wrapped nice)
Alpine head Unit
JL door speakers
Cobra 29 LTD Backlit with weather channel CB
225 Watt CB Amp
Wilson 1,000 Antenna magnetic base

Bed Info
Bed Rug
Can Back Canvas top
Tuffy Security Lock Box bolted in bed
2 Large Ammo cans bolted in bed
Swing out full sized spare tire carry
Swing out gas can for 2 5 gal cans
60" High Lift
Full size Shovel with leather cover
Full size Axe with leather cover

The 3 major projects I did not get to and these are for serious off road use.
4.7 crawl box from Marlin & Bud built transfer case mount
Hydraulic assist steering
I installed a GoWeld Alternator so it's ready for the welder to be purchased and installed

Traction bar for driving on road if you plan on driving the truck to the trails. The rear springs are a little soft and you get a slight hop from time to time. Nothing major but on a long drive it might get annoying. I've figured out how to make one that would not be in the way for off road playing.

There are so many extra's I can't remember them all. I can talk with anyone serious about the purchase of the work done. It's a great truck I just got out of wheeling and now that we're backin California I want a motorcycle again. That's my passion 4 wheeling was something I wanted to try and while away from the Bay Area I did.

For the move back to California from Montana. I put the truck on an auto carrier so no unnecessary mileage was placed on the truck. So I now have an extra set of rims and tires for auto carrier use which will be included.

Is it a 22re? If so, what's the condition of the engine, miles/maintenance etc.
That's a pretty crazy rig, good luck selling it.
I wish I had 13 grand laying around...

The motor is a stock 3.slow. I watched a friend do some bolt on mods, computer, headers, intake that sort of stuff. He spent money but it didn't seem to gain much so I left mine alone. It starts it runs what more do you need. Seeing how I also geared it for the 37 's that was probably the biggest help to the 3.0.

Now with that out of the way I would have preferred a 22. There are so many more upgrades for it. I didn't do enough homework on the 3.0 before I bought it.

Thanks for looking,

Ken9
