1999 Tacoma 3.4 TRD 4x4 For Sell

So, Just got a job overseas. Will be posting my truck on craigslist next week; giving you guys first shot.

99 Tacoma. trd 4x4 w/ towing package. Black. 146k. Manual, v6 3.4. 31 x10.5 bfg ta/ko. In perfect mechanical condition. Engine purrs, tranny and transfer are smooth. A/C blows very cold. Oil-5w30 synthetic. Tires 90% tread life with lifetime balance and rotation from discount tire.

Elocker: Works like a charm.

Aftermarket sony sound system with subwoofer. One of the back speakers is blown. Oops.

As it is a truck, its got some dings and scratches. No accidents, not even a little fender bender.

Other misc: The truck drives great, everything works. It could use a good cleaning sure...and I had intended to spray line the bed as a few spots of just surface rust are showing. A good grinder and liner will solve that. Other than that, it has always been here in TX.. SO NO RUST. WIth the exception of a few bolts with just a little surface, the body is literally rust free.

blue book 5700; asking 5300 but open to any offer.

Location: San Antonio, TX. Want it sold by next week. Im using the money to help cover my move.

Tx - Current on everything. Title in hand. Just got new safety inspection as of 2 days ago and registration as of march.

Pm if interested, I will post up pictures tom. I would prefer to sell it to someone on here that will love it.

And being as how the DBL cab didnt come out until 01, and this is a 99, Im going to say its an extended cab.

It is the extended cab. Here are some outside views. I'm not a great camera person. Its dirty and needs a wash but as you can see no serious body damage. Theres one little place where I bumped something, right under the front drivers lamp. Minor. Ill post pics of it later.

If anyone is seriously interested, Ill clean it out and take interior photos.

Does it have power windows/locks? Has the timing belt or water pump been done?

update:
There has been a nice amount of demand from you yotatechers. Everyone keeps telling me it goes for more in other areas. I have no intention of starting a bidding war; not looking to make money. Just want to use it to finance my trip overseas.

I am in the final stages of the interview process. I should know in the next day or two whether I have the job. Once that, I will need to get ready to move and will then immediately sell the truck.

Blue book here is 5800-6100 depending on NADA or KBB or Edmunds. I am asking 5300 firm, bc I understand it could use a good coat of herculiner in the back and you might need to travel here to get it.

So, if 5300 is in your price range....then let me know. Whoever is dead serious about the truck will get it.

A couple of you have PM'd me; I have responded with a similar message. I apologize for the delay. My final interview was supposed to have occurred on monday, but do to tech issues had to be postponed. I have not ignored anyone, simply did not want to get into a serious conversation and get anyone's hopes up until I was 100% sure I had the job and was going.

PM me if 5300 is a doable price, let me know you are dead serious and we can go from there.

Note: Some other info. Timing/water pump replaced at 44k according to yota dealer. I understand that means it is coming due for a change. Another reason I will come down from the NADA/KBB 5800-6000.

There is no drive ability issue. It runs perfect.

What kind of MPG do you get in it on the highway? I'm seriously interested but want to try to figure how much my trip is going to cost me, I have a 1050 mile drive home if I came down and a plane/train ticket seems to be around 160 or so, plus I've got to figure in a hotel and food.
Someone else will probably jump on it before me (seems to be how it works everytime I find something I like lately) but just let me know, I'd appriciate it.

www.fueleconomy.gov says 4wd Tacomas will get mpg of 15city/18hwy, though in the mileage thread you'll find cases of much worse or better. If you break down your 1050 miles (probably mostly highway) and factor in 17mpg you can estimate about 62 gallons of gas. If gas costs $2.75/gallon on average across your drive you'll have a total fuel cost of around $171. Fuel consumption of course vaires slightly between vehicles and is dependent on the nature of your route, driving style, and what traffic and/or elevation you hit along the way.

That is about what I get. Just highway driving, shifting really nice and cruising at around 70; I have managed 19-21 depending.

Having cars shipped isn't really that expensive. Some of you should check into it.

^x2. I'd go against a 1K+ mile maiden voyage with a new truck like that. It won't be registered and in that case won't be on an insurance policy. Shipping it is def easier.
