Well I just bought a FJ60 so the truck is for sale to help fund it.
1988 Toyota Pickup 4x4
22RE 4 Cylinder
255,781 miles on it.
Almost new 31x10.50x15 BFG A/T's (may have discount certs on them, not positive)
The truck has a blown head gasket, and has been that way for over a year since I bought it. I bought it unseen and it was supposed to be just a exhaust leak at the manifold, where the PO broke off some bolts trying to change gasket out. It has been started 5 or 6 times for a few minutes at a time since then and never ran longer than that. IIRC the compression test showed the gasket leak between cylinders 2 & 3.
The truck is an good shape for its age. It has been repainted but the paint on the hood, roof, and top of the front fenders is already faded. The only area where I have found rust it on the passenger side of the bed above the body line where it is welded together but it is just bubbling under the paint now as shown in the pictures. No major dents. It does have play in the tie rod ends.
I am asking $1,800 as it sits or $1,500 without the BFG's.
If someone pays my asking price I will throw in a Toyota FSM for the 1988 trucks, new lifetime warrantied tie rod ends, and a brand new gear reduction starter.
Truck is located in Alvin, Tx... 20 minutes South of Houston.
