1987 4runner 4x4 22re A/T Nice!

This truck is in truly nice condition for its age but will need some work.

The Good: Truck starts right up, and the engine runs pretty good, The transmission shifts smoothly, Nothing leaks. No oil leaks, doesn’t burn oil, or smoke. 4 wheel drive engages feely. A lot of general maintenance has been done such as, new brakes, new radiator, new thermostat, just changed oil, transmission was recently flushed and new filter installed, has new rear axle seal, just changed the oil, front end just aligned, new starter, new spark plugs, body is in nice shape and has no rust, interior is near perfect. The truck has a nice Sony stereo system installed, factory sunroof. Its an SR5 so it has all power options. Windows, door locks, and all of them work fine. Has Towing package as well.

The Bad: 239K miles. There are a few spots where the paint is starting to brown and needs new paint on them soon before it turns into rust, the 2 front fenders had spots of rust of them so I installed new ones. The whole truck could use a new paint job but you could get by with touching up the rough spots and painting the fenders. There are a few small dents on the driver side of the truck. Im no mechanic but im guessing the engine will likely need a timing chain and a valve adjustment; Gas tank needs a new float. When you fill it up it registers full but drops to empty when it gets to about ¾ tank. I just reset the trip odometer and fill it up every 200 miles. Its Worked fine for me doing it this way.

Overall it’s a nice truck and has a lot of potential for someone who’s willing to put the time into making it truly nice, and it wouldn’t take much. Yota-tech price 2,800 firm. Truck is located in Tallahassee FL. PM me if your interested.

hey, looks like mine; but I didn't know they didn't come without a toprack.
mines got 240, and runs like a charm. One question; is that an automatic tranny with 4 or 5 gears?
