22RE Running for Sale ~ 150K

Running 22RE is in my truck right now. I am rebuilding my original engine removed by a previous owner so the second engine is for sale. It needs a timing chain and has a significant oil leak at the timing cover/front main seal area. I think it needs valve seals because it smokes badly after startup sometimes, and the valves need to be adjusted. I can fix this stuff for the buyer if needed at extra cost. I was told it (the engine) had 140K miles on it when I bought the truck and I have driven it about 5,000 miles this summer.

Less oil pan and A/C compressor.

Make me a reasonable offer! I will put it on a crate and take it to the local freight depot for free.

Location for pickup is 1 hour south of Oklahoma City, OK. I will drive up to 75 miles to meet someone for free, after that we can negotiate a price.

It is sold AS-Is, no warrantees expressed or implied. It is guaranteed not to be DOA, though.

I am interested in your motor and i am in dallas texas...So you are selling the valve cover to bottom of block or are you including the intake manifold as well?

Khoopes sounds familiar. Ever do any quail hunting? I sort of need a 22RE. Mine rattles like a can of rocks. I'll be out that way around Thanksgiving or Christmas if you don't sell the engine before then. Let us know if you sell it. Thanks

Sorry I haven't ben watching the thread, it is better if you PM me. Mine rattles too but I have a timing chain set we can put in it on the engine stand ones it is pulled out.

Pm Me thanks __________________ 1995 4Runner 4X4 V6 SR5 1.5 BJ spacers, OME Shocks & steering dampener, Sonoran Steel IFS truss, Panhard drop bracket, Downey Headers and Y-pipe, Flowmaster muffler, WabFab Sliders, 285/75R16 Nitto Terragraplers, and a Marlin Crawler Clutch. 1983 Hilux 4X4 SR5 3" Rough Country Lift 32" Goodyear Wranglers. I have a pair of ARB lockers ready to go in with 5:29 gears, a fresh 22RE, & plan on going to either marlin or TG 5 in lift and 35's.
