Awesome score on a welder!!
I've been looking for a good welder that would suit my needs(same as most of yall's) for a good while now. From reading on here so much i've found that the least i should use is a 180A or so welder, 200 alot of ppl prefer on here. However, the problem is that for a hobart 187, i'm looking around 650 + some for other stuff. a 210 welder from hobart, i'm right at, or over a grand. For a miller or lincoln their even more.
Well, i just hit the motherload today. My father and i went to this place, TJ's 4x4 Warehouse in Cocoa(for all yall florida ppl), and found allll that i needed(and then some). Not only did i find a running 350sbc with TH400 trans and 203(double sticked) to put into my runner, but the guy also was wanting to get rid of his miller 250 so he could buy a tig. Take home for welder $850, for engine/trans/transfer/exhaust/guages/shifter 1200. What a deal. No tank or helmet or anything, but i'm fine by that, i'd have to buy that w/ a brand new welder too. Just another thing to tack onto the list... figured i'd let yall know. I'm stoked. I go some time this next week to pick everything up once he pulls the engine. Time to get my runner ... Running. ![]() I'm going to do a full writeup in the engine's section with plenty of pix. ![]() Now... i gotta figure out how i'm gonna power this beast... ehh... ![]() Last edited by Anubiscougar : 01-05-2008 at 09:21 PM. |
