Yea, you will notice more power, especially at highway speeds, as the stock 4Runner it almost at standstill when flooring it.

Cool. Yea, the new intake tube will help, as it's less restrictive and lets the air get in quicker/faster. It's on the website in stock as well...

Finally got around to cleanning one of my filters. I first hosed out as much dirt as possible, then used the cleaner from the kit. It's similar to Gunk engine degreaser. Let it soak for about 5 minutes then hosed it out. Afterwards I shook out as much water as possible, then put the filter back in my rig(the quick way to dry it out). Took it for a few laps around the block, I then removed the filter and sprayed on the oil.

I have a question for all you True Flow owners, I'm also a proud owner of a true flow system, I'm getting more a noticable whisp noise on acceleration and deceleration, This noise sounds like a subaru WTX turbo whisp sound. Do you get this noise?

yes, due to the straight intake tube with no baffles or chambers which the stock had, it makes a more noticeable whisp like you explained. You can just hear the air, free flowing into the motor. I love it.

Has anyone compared the performance between the Amsoil and True Flow?

Yea, the trueflow is made better than the current amsoil. The truflow is made like the original Amsoil was, but since Amsoil changed suppliers/compaines 3 years ago, their new version isn't as good as the current TrueFlow.

I also can't get my true flow to fit into the air box. Anyone else have this issue? I have a 2001 4Runner maybe the 01 - 02s have a different air box?

When I bought my filter about a month ago the cleaning kits were back ordered. I think that's still the case.
