I don't know about you guys but I'm going with Toyo Open Countries on my 86 Toyota 4x4 pickup, I'll be getting 65000 treadwear warranty with them and from what everyone tells me they'll get better treadwear on pavement than the BFG AT's, plus the Bfg AT's have ne treadwear warranty. Putting on 31110.5x15 instead of the 33x11.5x15's that was on it.I'll post a pic on my buildup thread as soon as I get them on.

Ive used these on my 4runner and Taco and they are the swiss army knife of tires, well balanced for street and offroad use.

I've used them on a variety of trucks. I also raced them off road - last time on a Class 11 bug. The previous owner of that car had run the Baja 500 on the same set. Only problem we had was hitting a big rock during an off and knocking the tire off the bead.

I've been running them for a while and love them. Been amazing for snow, mud, and even some ice. They also don't hold much mud which is a huge plus. Also the road noise is much less than other similar tires.

Second that with respect to the Wrangler Duratracs. I was very happy with the All-terrains on my XTerra (gone). They lasted long, too. Now I have Duratracs on my 86 MoreFunner and they have been (1) difficult to balance and (2) are loud because of the cupping from (1).
I plan to get BFG All-terrains next.

Depends on where you buy them.
Mine were in line with other brands with all the sales going on. My wife says I'm OCD when it comes to buying stuff.
I picked the (3) brands I liked.
Checked the feed back on all, then went to the tire places nearby with notes in hand. (5 shops)
Got "out the door" prices on all (3) then went home and compared.
Looked at places on line, but the shipping killed that idea.
Decided on the BFG's and set out to the shops that sold them. I got them to compete against each other.
It took me the entire weekend but I saved about $200.
So far I have about 1500 miles on mine. still riding great.

Spent (8) weeks buying my wifes car then 6 hours at the dealership, walked out the door (3) times.

Not a clue on my current rig, it's a pavement queen. Or has been a driveway fixture for the last 1.5 yrs, I really gotta fix that HG.

My reply is only about three years out of date, but FWIW, BFG A/T are seriously good. I was up at Browns camp, and found a spot I knew I couldnt get through - big hole in front of a big ledge fronted by a gnarly root. Knowing I had no chance(especially since these were only 31"), we set up the winch before I eased up against the big hole and step, where we would finish hooking up the winch and pull me up and through. It took me a few seconds to realize that instead of resting against it, I was climbing right over it. I had meant to come to a stop, but apparently the BFG didnt know that, because they grabbed on and pulled right up, taking the vehicle with them. Whatever rubber compound they use is like glue or suction cups or something. They just grab on and pull up. I will always remember getting out, looking at what just happened, and thinking WTF, then imagined doing an "all hail" to my tires. Since then I drive with alot more confidence. Unless it's muddy, there is no such thing as too steep (other than the clearance angles, but I have dragged my front bumper through dirt sometimes. I like that.)

I like them for a dd. I finally wore a set out. Will be getting a new set soon. Keep in mind they are about 5-8 lbs lighter than the 12" wide tire. On aluminum rims the reduce alot of torque robbing weight. Nice on the highway and decent offroad.

I had the older versions on my 2013 TRD Baja Tacoma and they did last a long time. I have the newer versions on my 2017 TRD OR and they seem a bit better on wet pavement. They are just as great off-road as the earlier version.
