ric,
i just emailed him today to make a non-pre runner tube and non-winch version. what i envision is something more akin to a TJM 17, but w/ the added angles that his (your) bumper has. we'll see what he says ![]() bob Last edited by Bob_98SR5 : 08-25-2005 at 06:31 PM. |

Bob,
he can do it, ive seen other vehicals that hes worked on, in person, he is talented to say the least, and to be so easy to work with to boot, just give him a call, ive talked to a number of builders/fab. i really like Jed, but more importantly, i trusted him, and he came highly recommended from Doug (thankx again Doug) thats what made me make the drive to co. springs, if you got any questions let me know, Ric |

is the lower half of the radiator exposed? in the pics it looks like its just open between the bumper and the factory 'skid plate'. will that be a problem, or are you planning on making a skid plate cover it or what?

yes it is open now, he didnt have time to clomplete it before the jambo, and we are thinking about engraving either the toyota, 4runner, or armorology name in it, he is just waiting on me to decide what i want.

Very nice bumper Ric. We'll have to get together some time so I can take a closer look at it.

Thanks for the Props Ric! I had him do my skids and modify my ARB bumper with extra brackets. Jed is up to almost anything you can throw at him. He is very meticulous and takes alot of pride in his work. You guys need to understand that he is a one man show and that he does not turn out his work like an assembly line. Each job is given TLC and pride everytime! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM, give him a call if you might be interested it getting something built. http://www.armorology.com/
Doug

Gosh, I'm in love... If people didn't drive like such idiots around here, I'd get the same bumper... but alas, when I get one, I'll probably have to forego the prerunner tubes.. SWEET bumper Ric.

i've been corresponding with armorology and they said that the only way that they could build a bumper for me is to be at the shop. of course, a drive out to CO is not in my future plans, but if it is and the price is right, i'll make the trip.

After seeing Rics bumper in person, it is by far worth making the trip to have one built.
The welds on it were flawless, the design is amazing, and it followed the body as good if not better than the stock bumper. It appears to stick out less and have more ground clearance than a TJM or ARB and its mounted more solid than any bumper on the market. I was really impressed by the multiple places it bolted up...very "clean" too. |

Awesome... just let the fools hit your bumper? And have a camera hooked up to see their faces when they see the damage to their cars... and the lack of damage to your 4R... heh hehe ![]()

ric -
did you prefer to have the winch basically on top of the bumper? the reason i ask is because im wondering if you had the choice of having it mounted inside the bumper, like TJM or ARB. i just looked at the pics again and realized that your winch would not fit inside. so is the reason its on top bc you already had that winch and it wouldnt fit inside? or was there other reasons behind it? |

You should get the stinger, especially with idiot drivers....ric and i were going wheeling and on the highway some idiot stopped w/no brakelights or turn signal, and we had to brake hard...seeing that bumper in my rearview caused me to pee a little bit, i was so scared...if Armorology produces those they should call it the Intimidator...Ric, that bumper is very sweet
