Paragon and Rauch Creek are the only places I know of, but they are both in PA. I'm from the Binghamton area and drive the 2 hours to Paragon to wheel. I haven't found anywhere to go that isn't on private land.

I have said it before, but you guys should really just form a chapter of 4roc or ttora, you will be surprised how many people come out and join. Some one of you just needs to do it, there are always threads on here and ttora asking about ny wheelers. Also, once you do, look into the EC4WDA, the East Coast 4 Wheel Drive Association. www.ec4wda.org. They do a lot of work with local government and private landowners to get access to land to use. Through them you also gain a membership in the Blue Ribbon Coalition. Both NE4ROC and TTORA-NE are members and it has already paid off big for us, we have access to so many more legal places to wheel, it is awesome.

Seriously, if Lee and I can both manage to run clubs, anyone can do it!

I had a website up for a while for the NY chapter of 4roc but it never saw any action and only had about 4 "members".
I'm happy to do the site again, but I'm hesitant to pay for a domain name/hosting space. What about a more general off-road club?

Well, there is the matter of advertising it, I know I bring a lot of members to 4roc and ttora because I see them on here, YT, TTORA, 4x4Wire, etc, and drag them in. As I recall, Lee posted up a thread on here about ne4roc and gained a ton of members from it. You really have to market it. If you did one through ttora, they will host a forum for you on ttora's site and link to it from the national forum, which helps people to find it. I am sure a general off road club would work too, either way, it takes some effort, it takes time for a club to accumulate a good core membership that is active on the forum and wheels regularly, you will get a lot of webwheelers, but that is to be expected. Some advertising, some patience, and some post-whoring on your own forum and before you know it, you have a whole club.

I just formed an Ohio Chapter of TTORA - not much to it really, and there are probably people already there you just need to get together. It surprises the heck out of me that there's not a NY chapter...anyways, here's all the info you need to start a chapter:
