Wharton State Park, NJ Pine Barrens
Anyone been?
Wharton State Park is 110,000 acres, and i have read there are tons of trails. It is also home to the largest aquifer on the continent, IIRC. The trails seem to be sugar sand, flat and not a rock to be found in the place. Some mud and swamp areas that can swallow a rig, but i am interested in camping and exploring.
Does anyone know if i can download the park maps, or are they only provided at park services?
I'm going to try to go visit the Batsto Historic Village in a week or two, hopefully, and report back.

Just called the ranger station, No maps are available on-line, only at the park office in Batsto. Really? They have all sorts of campsite maps to download, but no park maps(trails/un-improved roads)...when i get a map i will be sure to scan it and post it here.
