I like how my girlfriend looks scared in every pictures, it makes me wonder why she continues to go offroading with me...
We had a crazy day out there, it took us 10 hours to get through a 1.0 mile trail. Plus changing Tony's R&P was a saga like none other, between the 4 of us we only had 2 bottle jacks, 1 hi-lift and just enough tools to do the job. Plus the rear end fell off the bottlejacks at one point, luckily no one was hurt. Plus it was a scortcher out there, I ran my AC for maybe a 1/4 of the trail until I noticed that my temp guage was up to H. Once again we got lucky and there wasn't any serious damage. It was nice meeting everyone! I'll post up the pics my girlfriend took when she sends them over to me. Oh and one more thing to the damage report, Tony's sidemarker. Scuba, where was this? We definitely have to get back out there sometime when I get everything fixed so we can Bronco Peak also. After running that trial I feel like going out and spending all my savings on a budbuilt t-case skid, a front locker and twin sticks...

There's only one thing better than wheeling...wheeling with a cute chick.
I bet she had a blast - looks like everybody did. Good trip report, good to see you're actually out there hitting the trails. Bed bob looks good. Fink

Al: she looks like that because that part of the trail was petty epic. Pat barely had brakes and flew down it like nothing. Scared me too.
Logan, how bout you al and plumber bob all male a roadtrip down here and come wheel.. And no BB's yet, he said there might be some compatibility issues with the single cabs and the tcase skid x member, so waiting to hear from him, guess I'll call him again tomorrow. Fink. You are right, she's the first chick Thats been wheeling withe, and yes she along with erryone had a great time. I love getting out and wheelin new trails, gives me a sense of adventure and thank you for the compliments. Patrick, looking forward to seeing all of your pics

Scuba, nice pics. Except one!
I'll get mine up soon. Not as quick as you with this stuff as you know. I had a great time regardless of the damage. This is one trip I won't forget for a long time. The heat was definately getting to me while working on the axles. All in all it was a good trip but wish we could have gone further. Covered more trails. Next time. I'll need you to help me through getting you the video. Call me. You guys were fun and that section where rocks were stacked, not to aid but to hinder Patrick's forward progress was hilarious. I wished I had audio of that. I don't think his girlfriend was scared, I think she was laughing her fanny off. That guy with the Jeep was pretty awesome giving me that gear oil and for making that dropoff look easy although his rig was the tipsiest on it. Thanks to everyone for their efforts yesterday. I couldn't believe what I was about to tackle when I made my decision. I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Had such a great time yesterday tony, Just so you know, I helped out as much as I could, did not at all feel like getting as dirty as you did, If we had a tarp I would have been all over it..
Logan, He does, I want the full set from front to Tcase though.. So im waiting to see if the xmember for the rear skid will fit. Said there was no problem on Xcab/Dcab's.. Oh, And for the record this wasnt resting on the axle seal.. ![]() Tony, Working on getting vids up now..

In addition to my r&p and side marker, my tailgate only opens about 8 inches now and my check engine light came on on my way home from the run. I haven't checked out the code yet. It looks like the linear spring that helps the tailgate is off its guide and it seems the guide is missing or busted. Don't know yet.
Scuba I've been trying to send you that #2 many times and it always says attachment failed. Trying one last time now.

Spare tire brackets have been bent and are more now. The area directly behind the spare is where the little cam type guide is mounted and this spring rides along the cam to slow the tailgate's movenent or make it feel lighter. ??? Anyways its been somewhat busted but worked fine for me but now I cant even let it all the way down. It will just hang there about a quarter way open. Once I take that spring off it should open up all the way. I'll need parts to get it right. Some hammering and maybe a piece welded on to the bottom of the bed and it should work great again.
Did you get that 2nd video?

Believe me, if I wasn't holding onto that steering wheel I probably would have done the same. When I dropped into that bowl I was almost sure I was about to go end over end...

Here's a little more of the same
Thanks for the torque wrench Steve. I like to use it on the spindle every time. ![]() Going together nicely. Paper towels just happened to be loftover from camping weeks ago. Now they are standard equipment in my truck. I don't know what I would have done without them this time. Greasy parts+dirt=troubles The last wheel going on. So very happy. ![]() On the trail again but struggling in 2wd. ![]() Nice clearance Scuba ![]() I got hung up on the same rock and got the strap. Not much left in me by this time. ![]() The Jeep that showed us the way. ![]() I love the bottle opener in front of the door. Patrick no longer in the rear. ![]() ![]() This was a fun little stretch ![]() ![]() ![]() Steve waiting in case I need the strap again ![]() but with good spotting ![]() and determination ![]() I didn't need it ![]() Patrick getting poor help. ![]() ![]() Thanks guys. Lets do it again soon. Well, when its a little cooler. ![]() ![]() The end of a good day
