Yeah Jeeves, your not kidding about fire season! We jost got our first fire on my district here and had to work it all night. Got me a sort of 3 day weekend though!
Anyway, I think I'm out for this one, though I would love to go. Never been to Sand Lake before, but on the 6th an 7th I'm going to climb Mt Whitney! I mean, I can't work in a place where the highest peak in the lower 48 stares me in the face every morning without going to the top sometime. Bump to keep it new though.

damn busy week. um, not exactly sure where we are camping. by motorcycle do you mean like a dual sport or something. cause motorcycles are a pain in the sand unless properly equiped (paddles).
i kinda just plan on finding a spot somewhere around the far perimiter of the area (northern side). im going out on fri. we can expect to meet somewhere, and ill figure it out by the begining of next week. as well i will try and find a good map to try and give out an idea of the place and where i want to be. a little scatter brained right now cause im gonna go run the river. ill post tonight with more/better info. Yota circle Yota circle Yota circle

as am i, i really wanted to get out there. but not many responses. ive worked about 45 hours this week already, (cruised down to oakridge (3 hrs each way) for 25 of them and i got two days of work in portland left). im starting to get retarded by the heat. s just not going to plan.
sorry for the late call but i think this one might be a bust. and , if ashleys runner ain't gonna be ready is there really a point? ![]() maybe well try and set it up again down the road. right now at midnight it must be about 90 outside, so im really looking forward to some snow wheelin right about now.

alright sweet, i felt like an ass cause i cancled the trip so late, was outta town mon - wed. glad everyone is down. i know its not so hot at the coast but the dunes i think still gets a bit heated. also i only got one of my two new toys for the runner so i can work on the other by then. also picked up some 35 13.5 tsl's but not enough time to mount em up on some spare rims.
and im thinkin about tradeing some side work on the house im remodeling for the guys 660 raptor. its been sittin and he hasn't used it since he had a daughter. so maybe ill get that by then. how great would it be to show up at the dunes with a raptor straped vertical to the open rear tail gate on the runner. so we shall shot for a month or so to head out there. my nissan buddy is pissed cause i canceled so late but i think its really cause he dosen't have a yota. and his heeps still in full size conversion so hes takin out his aggression on me. so maybe sometime in the first couple weeks of sept.

the only advantage of doing this weekend is that Dune Fest is going on in Winchester bay... so everyone who would normally be riding at sand lake would be there instead... so there is a chance it would be less packed...
and as far as strapping a quad to the back of your 4runner... you just need to build an offroad trailer like mine ![]() i would seriously try getting that trade..quads are SO much fun. the 660 is a good bike from what i hear, lots of upgrades and add ons. i have an '08 Raptor 700... i love it. it is SOO much fun at both browns camp AND in the sand..

i have had a goal of not bringing to much stuff with me. with that goal im trying to keep my life trailer free cause i don't have anywhere to put it. im thinking about pickin up a raft to go with my new kayaks so that will be a trailer, and thens its all down hill from there to a full on weld/air/generator/grill/light/music machine bein drug behind the runner ever where it goes.
and now that i say all that im gonna need a bigger motor
