Smile An ongoing collection of trips/pictures (Dial-up beware)

I'm lucky enough to live in a place where there are a vast amount of trails within miles of where I live. There's also some of the most amazing scenery around. I usually go on a short trip, take some pictures, save them to the computer and that's it. So I figured since I have them, I might as well share them. This will be an ongoing thread and I will update it when I can.

These are about a mile from my house.

Are those all taken within Summit Co, CO?

I used to live in Breckenridge before I had a trail rig... but rode MTB all over the area.

Yea, all of the pictures were taken in Summit County. I've pretty much lived here all my life and know most of the trails, unfortanatly a lot of them are getting shut down. What area's did you take your MTB?

I took the truck out yesterday and broke trail up Georgia Pass! There's still a little bit snow.

That's not where I parked my car!

Few more

Fell through in a couple spots but it wasn't to deep.

It doesn't look like it, but the snow is about 5-6 feet deep in places.

Coming down...

I then ran into a friend and headed up towards Middle fork ...

The end of the road, at least for a couple of weeks.

I should be able to recall the names.... but memory has faded. I know I headed up the ski resort from Breck and came back down Wheeler trail. Peaks Trail and sections of the CO trail. I think I explored a bunch of singletrack over the summer. Keystone, Vail and BC for some great DH terrain.

Truly an amazing place.

Looks like there is a lot of snow left over even this late in the year.

It was a record year for snow fall, I think around the eighth largest snow pack ever recorded. There's still quite a bit of snow but it's melting super fast. A month ago you couldn't even get to the start of the trails.

Yea, your telling me

I'm hoping to get some new one's in the next couple weeks, it does make things alot more interesting though.

There are quite a few amazing trails around here, nothing too hard, but they all have a view!

I took the truck out a couple times this weekend. It's been a little rainy but still a good time.

I first headed up towards Chihuahua Lake.
