Nice Parking Job

Bored Thursday after work, so I thought I'd mess around. Wasn't bored for long.

Not to bad though... considering.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f15/Elvota/Damage.jpg

Once I got it on all fours again, I pulled the plugs, put 'em back in, and it started right up. 3.0's aren't that bad after all. Drove out fine and now have a story to tell.

Never know until you try.

That sucks man, but it does make a good story

What are your plans with the damage? Chop the rear? That's my plan when I break those rear windows

Steve sorry to see that. I know the feeling...but I had some steel to protect my sheet metal, well most of it.

Did the only damage occur on the rear drivers quarter panel? If thats the case its definitely not as bad as it first looks when its laying on its side but still...

You could bob the rear end??

Good luck..

I am thinking bob as well, but may just replace the window for now. Nothing really damaged except the tail corner and the glass. DS mirror didn't even get a ding, fell right into a hole.

Anyone know how to best approach the insurance company, if at all? I have full glass coverage, and I thought I'd just say a rock came up and hit the window... because that's kind of what happened.

I was alone and no that is not a good idea and yes I have learned my lesson and no I won't do it again and yes it was impossible to get it back on all wheels by myself and no the closest tree wasn't within my two tow straps and yes I had to buy more and no those didn't work either and yes I used another truck eventually and no my flashlight didn't last....

Seems like the general consensus is that flopping sucks... of which I must agree, but would be more down if I hadn't built the rig just to see what it (and I) could do. Sucks to have to fix when I'd rather upgrade, but not so bad that it happened.

Plus, I forgot to mention that the rock bars I welded on did great!

The PS didn't rip off when I pulled the truck down, and the DS must have stopped the door from caving in, as it has a dent/ grind as well.

So, now I know how far to the left I can lean. I wonder how far to the right it will go.....?

Oh man, I've got a lump in my throat seeing that happen to your truck.

Sounds like you got a story to go with it.

No doubt. I was lucky in a lot of ways. So weird to see the ground coming up to the window like that. Was really slow, though, so no real impact.

Gonna try and get things put back together this weekend.

Jdizzydub, It was out by Deer Valley Airport, which really isn't a place to seek out for wheeling, just close to my house. Lot's of guys on this board can show you around the Phx area when you get here. Florence and the Table Mesa area are really good... there are tons of places within a 45 minute circle of downtown... and even more beyond.

AZ is great for dirt, and rocks... not so much for mud.

DOH! Steve!! Yer killin' me. "...rock came up and hit the window."

Dude -- you should have called me. I live right down the road from where you flopped. Who eventually came to your rescue?

Glad the damage is minimal and you weren't out in the boonies. I'll PM you my phone number.

Ed

Yeah Ed.... I thought about that for sure, but no number. Micki and I got my work truck down in the gulley and pulled Elvota back on all fours. The rig was stubborn, but finally came over.

bob200587... didn't have time to work on it that night, but now I just plan to push the rig back over on it's side in my garage for easy access in the future.
