Thumbs up AZ - Beach trail

Saturday, several friends and I ran a trail down to the lake. Great trip through a scenic canyon with a few rocks along the way to keep things interesting. We even saw a couple large bighorn sheep as well. The scenery at the lake was worth the drive alone too.

This was a very good trip.

If you guys have any photos put them up! Steve I didnt get many of the buggy in action...by the time I got out of my truck you were already through the rocks.

Great pics Westy.

I didn't realize how twisted up I was getting on the rocks. 4Runner felt stable... guess i am slowly getting better at this. Some of those pics really show the terrain well. I still can't figure out how we managed through a few sections.

Just had to grind, squeak, sneak, spot and worm our way through.

I thought it was the most difficult trail I have run personally. Took a while to get in... and even longer to get out.

Found this dark omen literally 15' from where the hard rocks start on the way back out:

No doubt... that little propaned sucka does well. I managed to snap one... heading up the final waterfall:

The Monster Taco on the same obstacle:

Westy forgot to mention towards the end we met with some dark clouds and lightning blotting out the sun. You have never seen guys wheels and stack and what ever it took faster than us four desperately trying to get out of those boulders before the moisture hit.

We almost made it... in fact, missed the escape by maybe one cup size, so to speak.

The Beach Trail, is that the official name? I’m searching for more info on the area.

I love Arizona.

That looks like a great trail. I look forward to the day my rig can handle something like that.
