ok so I am doing a sas on my wifes 87 runner and I was using the template to punch the holes for the sleeves that go under the body mount. well I am kinda new at this and like a complete retard I failed to tack-weld this stuff and check for proper fitment. So I welded the living out of everything! well I was a little bit off. about a half in off. damm I suck. so what should I do? also it looks like the rig leans a little to the right. and what size spring should I run in the rear to level her out?:drunk:

Alright, great site, been on here for 8 or so months. It has been 1 yr exactly since i purchased my 88....and in the year, i tried very hard to convince myself i could wheel IFS and not be too shabby. After reading more, i've just found that SA is a great way to go. Last longer, and is a great platform for those who wanna turn their trucks into something awsome.

They make kits, and in those kits you get spring options. small and big. What is your guys' opinions...If you do a SAS, do you live by the " go big or go home" mentality?? or can you go with mild lift...say 3-4? I'm torn. I just don't know how to even go about starting this project. I can get a housing around here for 150 with a 3rd, some gears, and all the outer bits. How much can i HONESTLY look to spend to SA the front...lift the rear, gear it and and slap some bigger rubber on??

All of this said...I don't think i am a HUGE ethusiast of off roading yet. I drag racing all year, and when winter comes, i find all the bs to mess around in, but i would just like a capable truck. capable of going out and keeping up with the others around here. I drive the truck year around, as my DD, so extreme would probably be a waste. i figure maybe staying with 33's would be a good idea for me.

I could keep going on and on and on.....but i would like opinions, im sure they'll flood in!! thanks in advance.
