93 Toyota starts but wont stay running unless i feather the gas

Posted 08-29-2010 at 11:32 PM by stuntjunkie2007
I have replaced the distributor cap, spark plugs, cold start valve, maf sensor, fuel filter, and air filter...I replaced the head gaskets on this truck and the guy i bought it from said it ran fine till then...I have checked for vacuum leaks but all i have found is the bvsv broken so i coupled those two lines together...Would the bvsv cause the truck to not want to stay running if it is broke. Any advice would be appreciated..:saw:

Yea I didnt see any rust in the gas tank also i was wondering if anyone knows if a four runner maf sensor will work on my 93 truck. The four runner part number is 222050-65010 and my trucks is supposed to be 22250-66010. I have the four runner one on my truck right now so i was wondering if that could be an issue

Ok i put my maf sensor back on and now its idling but its only idling at 500rpms...Would this be a timing belt issue or do i need to just advance or retard the distibutor
