I pulled the oil pan and pickup, dipstick tube, motor mounts, heater hoses, lower radiator hose, wire harness from the old 3.dead. Cleaned most of the parts up. I also ran a new positive battery cable to the starter, i made my own for that. Then I soldered some 10 gauge to the fusible link that ran to the battery from the fuse panel under the hood. I've had a bottom end external oil leak for a little while, which I thought was the oil pan gasket. Anyway, yesterday, after the inauguration, I did an oil change and realized that the oil filter I had put on 3k miles ago had loosened to the point where it took no effort at all to remove it from the block. So thank you Obama, for both saving my engine and saving me from having to drop the pan.

So im new here b/c I just got my first 'yota, a 1990 4runner. Anyways when in 4wd it sometimes make a weird rumbling noise like somethings rubbing. not really a grinding noise. it also vibrates a little bit. but if i stop or slow down to like 5mph it goes away. Any ideas? Also im looking for a good site to get parts for it from. I wanna lift it 4-5 inches and do some other stuff in the spring time. Thanks!
