91 4 Runner Rear gears with a 85 front gears

Posted 06-15-2010 at 04:48 PM by El Capitan
What to do?
My 91 came with 4.56 gears, one of the 31" options. and I did the front axle swap with a 85 front end. Now can the 85 3rd member take 4.56 gears from the 91?

Back up Camera Idea

Posted 02-16-2010 at 12:50 PM by El Capitan
Has anyone used the backup cameras you see at the auto store for wheeling?

I was thinking one could put near the front or even one on each side, near the wheels. Then if you wheeled alone or with someone who couldn't tell a good line from a hole in the ground, you could see your line from you cab?

I am I thinking a bit beyond here or what?

Electronic Woes, Help me please

Posted 01-26-2010 at 07:40 PM by El Capitan
Well lets just say it wasn't one of my smarter moments. I had a dead battery and hooked it up to a charger. Gave the charger a juice to see if I could start the truck and let it charge itself. Well I fried some wire/s under the dash, now got no radio, no domes or door lights. I miss my radio. What is the best way to tackle this one? New harness? Remove dash to find bad wire?
