Old and the New

Hello,
My first truck was a 5 speed Toyota 1986 4x4 pick up truck with the extra cab. It was the first years with the EFI 22re. My dad bought it brand new in 1986 and has kept it clean all these years. It was my first car that i drove to school. I really enjoyed driving it but I'm going off to college next year and I convinced my dad into getting a newer 96 Toyota 4runner with the 3.4l v6 4x4 automatic. i was originally looking at 96-99 tacomas with the extra cabs, but they were too expensive so i settled for the 4runner. Now that I'm driving my new 4runner and i realize that i really miss driving the old truck. The old truck is running great, and the cons to driving it was that there is no AC, Airbags, and only 2 seats. Pros are that it has better gas mileage then the 4runner. for the new 4runner i have 5 seats for me and my friends, ac, 4x4, and more power. =] i still can't decide if i really want the 4runner or not. would the old truck be find to take to college (only an hour away from home)? my usual activities with the trucks would be camping, daily driver around town. i do minor mudding and once i year i take it down to Pismo Beach out on the dunes. help me decide.
