Roof top tents

I am into roof top tents, me thinks they are a very cool way to set up a rig for camping and expedition use.

I have pics of my setup in my buildup thread in my sig file, and also my camping pics from Mt. Rainier from August of 2008.

I will include a few pictures here and links to my model.

    Thanks Michael.
    There are many types on the market, I like this style the best out of all of them since it has a hard shell and sets up in mere seconds.

    Roof top tent bedding

    Even though this info is on my website and probably my buildup thread, I have been asked to include it here too so the info is available.

    The nice thing about roof top tents is you can leave the bedding in it full time.
    Some use sleeping bags, however after researching online when I bought my tent, I found out that many use sheets and comforters much like they do at home.

    With my medium size Maggiolina AirLand tent, full size sheets fit the mattress to a T.

    For a comforter I went with a nice winter weight down one sized in a twin.

    I bought the comforter for the tent but used it on my bed at home before I had a chance to put it in the tent.
    I liked the comforter so much I ordered another one for my bed at home in a queen.

    The company I bought the comforter from makes them slightly larger than a standard one, so there is extra length to it which is fine.
    Gives you more to double up at the top or bottom if you want to.

    More pics from August of 2009, and a new setup video.

    Was in bed around nine hours each night.
    Sound of the creek and being out in nature makes for a good nights sleep.
