Hey, I have a 93 3.0 4runner auto. I just lifted the rear end 3.5 inches with new coil springs, i bought struts for both front and rear. I also cranked the torsion bars in the front. Now, just to let you know, so many people will advise you to not to crank the torsion bars, I however have not found a problem with it yet. That is legitimatly the only way you can get suspension lift out of IFS.
The struts i bought were pro comp ES9000 and ran me $170 for both front and back. The coil springs (110) are also pro comp and i bought them from ruk industries. Both from eBay.
You will need to get a new break line for the rear, or figure something else out with it. Also, when ordering the front struts you might need to go with the 0-1 inch lift struts because the 3-4 will require you to buy or make new brackets(im making a blog on this so you can check it out).
All said and done, your going to be just about at $300 for the lift if you install yourself, which is easy, i did it in about 4 or 5 hours.
Also, if your 4runner is anything like mine, just cut the strut bolts with a sawsall instead of trying to remove the top nut, it was just way to rusty for me to work with it.
