This was a very satisfying day, got the engine bay all washed out,
It had never been washed out in the 13 years I owned it so I couldn't wait to get it clean (I was possessed like Monica). I started with engine degreaser but that only helped with the grease and oil spots, for the rest of the dirt I used a scrub brush and a toilet brush and a bucket of soapy hot water. It would have been nice to have a power washer, but I don't.
In the process I discovered a blown bushing on my torsion bar rocker arm (Superlift part), so I had to tear the whole front end apart too. The good news is with the engine bay empty getting those bushings out is much easier.
