No, never removed a tranny or an engine before. I bought this wrecked 2001 Tacoma for a donor: http://community.webshots.com/album/383446112ZpbXpN
I'll use the 3.4 auto tranny with a marlin adapter to a pair of 23 spline gear driven transfer cases (Marlin's ultimate crawler). The 3.4 transfer case has the front driveshaft on the wrong side.
I'm also putting on a supercharger with 2.1 inch drive pulley, URD fuel mods, and water injection. I already put the Walbro 190 fuel pump in.
The auto tranny will be getting a valve body upgrade and two extra Tru-cool LPD coolers ( http://www.importperformancetrans.com/coolers.shtml ) to help handle the extra power. I'm hoping to get close to 300HP.
I'm going to use the stock 3.4 exhaust manifolds with ORS's custom cross-over

and 2.5 inch mandrel bent pipe from the cross-over back (anyone know where I can find some 2.5" mandrel bends)?
I have the complete ORS conversion kit: http://www.offroadsolutions.com/tech...n_kit_auto.htm
