Sas

Hey. I am the guy in the picture doing the plasma cutting. Yes, I can't agree more... the worst part of a SAS is grinding down the remaining IFS crap and the welds. At least I have two 7" angle grinders, so that speeds it up a bit... but they get really heavy after only a few minutes. All of the SAS brackets (sans the shackle hangers in the front) will be fabricated by myself. I will be making all of the stuff today, so hopefully Mike or I will have those up tonight or tomorrow. The best aspect of this SAS is the d44 came from North Carolina, so it was so easy to get the inner knuckles off... mine came from northern Indiana, and they were so seized. We ended up having to use the hydraulic press to get them off. Anyway, take care.

ah, we're using the standard rancho 44044s in the front and chevy 63"s in the rear. In a few months I will be doing a 3 link coiled setup in the front, and 4 link triangulated setup in the rear... leaf springs are simple but suck, plus the ride really sucks.
