I personaly dont like how the exo cages look, so I plan on getting a similiar cage for my 4runner(except for the shocks going through the floor and some more bracing). The reason the shocks are through the floor is to fit the longest shock possible. His I think are 2.5x14" or 2.5x16" kings, those arent going to fit under the floor unless they are at some extreme angle. The more angle of the shock the less effective it is and you will need stiffer valving. So the more vertical the shock is the more effective it is. At least thats my reasoning.
