260? City driving? Are you really serious? All that stop and go and 260 to a tank in the city? C'mon...
I sincerely don't mean to discredit you and what you are saying, but that just seems so...unreal.
Please forgive me,but that's just nuts to be able to do that good...on big tires, and yet no one else with big tires comes close to that kind of milage...let alone with stock size tires.
Again...what's the gear ratio in the rear?
So a manual gets better milage over an auto...in the city?
I'm just having a real hard time figuring this one out.
I'm averaging 190-200 city,230 highway on 31 x 9.5"s and I baby it. I never got my foot into heavily,I run with almost zero extra weight...I even keep her washed frequently to help with aerodynamics!!!

Ok i know your trippin and i really don't want to take over this guys thread but um vehicles are different. And so are the people who drive them. My dads 1990 3.0 3vze 4runner SR5 new motor 50k ago with 33 12.50's and a 2 inch bod lift does get about 200 miles city. Highways a lil more close to 300. If tuned right they will get good gas mileage. It does not have any gears its totaly stock except for the tires and lift and a K&N cold air intake. Yours may be deprived of something. Idle too high, dirty air filter, dirtly fuel filter, o2 sensor fouled, vac leaks. Its called fine tuning and care. TLC. I have had 2 3vze trucks myself. I had an auto 3.0 1995 model and it got about 200-210 gasmileage city, dunno bout highway. It was ran totally stock with 31's I also had a 1988 4runner SR5 3.0 3vze 5-speed. This truck was the best gas mileage truck i ever had i almost could not believe it my self man, as much as i could not believe it this truck got about 256-260 miles to the tank city driving. Fine tuned kept clean will take your truck all the way. For some reason most of the 3.0s i've had acctaully are not much differant if not better than 22r's. At least the ones i've had. It my be my trucks it may be ur i dunno. All i know is i'm not lying.
