I got 16.5mpg my last trip to Moab at 75mph.
If I keep the speeds at 55-65 on the backroads I have gotten up to 17.5. Around town driving works it a little more because the Turbo tranny has that 4.3:1 1st gear
Typical mileage is 15-16 though. Not bad for a SAS'd rig on 35s though.
Oh, and steering isn't effected unless the hubs are locked and in 4wd. When the roads are wet, its fine. Its also nice to have the twin sticks when you just want to drop the 4wd side. Its shift on the fly with one finger.
