Figured i'd finally start one of these build threads since i'm finally doing some more mods to my 4runner.
I bought my 95 4Runner completely stock on 4/1/08 after i wrecked my old car. It's a 6cyl 3.slow. I won't lie, it's a 2WD but i wheel it anyways. Should have went 4WD but at the time i needed a vehicle to get me to work. Despite what most people think, my 2WD is pretty capable. I've only gotten stuck twice, both was because i nearly rolled and needed help getting out.
This is my 4runner 100% stock august 29th 2008 coming down from a 5 day camping trip in the Sequoia National Park:

Stock right after i bought it:
After some research and some idiotic mechanics telling me the wrong thing for a while i installed 4Crawler's BJ Spacers and coil spacers. At the same time I bought a set of 4 31" Cooper Discoverer STT tires off craigslist for 270 and 4 possibly knock-off centerline rims for 150:

^also removed side steps
Last week I installed some Procomp ES3000 shocks all the way around that I bought from Jackit.com.
I figured the 3000's because they're not gas charged and would provide a smoother ride on the road as well as off. I bought them 4" longer than stock with plans of another 2" lift. They came super fast (only 2 days) so I decided to order some 4" ProComp lift coils from them also but now i'm going on my 6th day of waiting to install.
I plan to get rid of the coil spacers with the 4" lift coils and keep the BJ spacers and adjust the torsion bars to match the extra 2" in the back.
Update: Forgot to mention the other night someone stole the cat off my 4runner while I was asleep. We have pictures of the people from our security cameras and are trying to find them but so far no luck. Honestly, it really was an inconvenience to have to replace it, but now that i look at it the new one is a MUCH lower profile and gives probably about another 3" of clearance in that spot so it may have been a blessing in disguise?
Currently: Finished the extra 2" lift. Need to get an alignment and in a week after i replenish some funds a panhard drop bracket.
I'll keep this updated.
PS: Are rear lockers on a 2WD 4runner a waste of time? .. random thought
