I do not use a sleeping bag anymore since getting the roof top tent.
Flannel sheets and a warm down comforter are what most go with.
It is so much nicer and easier to sleep when you are not constricted by a sleeping bag.
Same as sleeping at home.
Setting up the stuff is not hard at all, I did it for years when tent and tent trailer camping when my sons were wee little lads.
I got the 12v pad a few weeks back, will be setting that up to test when we get some good weather.
It would be used for winter camping only if I do get a chance to camp then.
Other than that, the current sheets/comforter are really warm.
I also like being set up in one place the whole time, as it gives me more time to explore the area on foot, and also to kick back for some R&R.
Moving to a new place each day gets very old, I did that many years ago.
I much prefer to stay in one place for the duration of the trip.
Will be checking out some old gold/ore mining areas this coming summer at Mt. Rainier that I saw many years ago on there.
I hope you did not think that all of the gear in this thread is mine and I pack it all.
This thread is just a place to list stuff to share with the membership of new products that are out on the market.
The gear that I have that I have bought after posting some of the ideas here is in this thread.
