I've got the 261*c cam, Can't tell you how much more the cam will do for you over the just the header and exhuast. I put all these these at the same time.
To install it you'll have to remove the head bolts and probably have to replace the head gasket. Which means pulling the head, So it'll most likely increase your work load significantly and down time.
What kind of gas mileage are you getting?
How many miles on your rib?
