i had ome 890's out back as well. wasnt overly stiff...but firm. i think ome's spring rates are quite abit higher to compensate for extra weight thats (expected) to be put on these modded vehicles. once youre loaded with gear, bumpers, tire carriers etc...it rides well since its most likely within its spring rates. same thing with ome coils for the cruisers...the heavies keep their lift alot longer than the mediums, but once you add weight to the mediums...they'll start to sag. permanently...
i wouldnt go spacers on stock coils. you'll probably be just as firm with that setup. go with 80 coils as per SS, and find a way to level out the front a bit more. or try some downey lift coils with billies. those ride uber plush too...and wont lift it too high. about 2.75~3" if i remember correctly...
