My 2002 Tacoma owners manual says Dexron II or III but it could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time I've seen a wrong spec in a Toyota printed manual.

GOAT, a lot of yota dealerships do not flush period.. they just drain and fill. i dont have a toyota dealership within hundreds of miles of me that will do a "flush"... this is why i opt for frequent drain and fills. esp ifyou offroad, heavy on the pedal or hard city driving bc DEXIII is crap for an atf. TIV isnt that great either though it is leaps over DEXIII.
