If I was running 37" tires, I'd put some quality 571 gears in a heartbeat. I'd do the "cryo only" treatment (no heat treat) and then I could drive it both on the highway and on the tough trails.
I would not have my best bud put them in for me I'd have a quality gear install done.

PS- I've run lower gears than even the 571 ratio.....I had a 92 Yota flatbed that had Dana 44's both ends with 36" Iroks and 589 gears....they ruled! The 589 gears saw the highway and went on 500 mile trips.
